Mwenje Weruponeso CBO-Mozambique
When I worked in Mozambique and taught English at Chimoio International school, one of my colleagues later started a Community Based Organization (CBO) named Mwenje Weruponeso-A light of Salvation. The mission of the CBO is to reach out to the Orphans and vulnerable Children (OVC), and their families by helping to improve their chances to a better life now and in the future. She started a school for orphans and sought to seek funding. My way of helping her was through creating a website so that the CBO becomes visible to audiences beyond their immediate local. The goal was also to help them document and showcase the work they had done using the resources that had so far received . |

Zaion -Horn of Africa Restaurant and bar
Soon after moving to Sweden, I met a guy who had lived in my homeland, Zimbabwe, for 9 years. Originaly, he comes from Eritrea. We spoke Shona together and became close friends. A few months ago he wanted to open a restaurant that specializes in Eritrean and Ethiopian food. I offered to help him set up a website for it prior to the opening date. The aim was to create publicity and anticipation for the new restaurant. Social media accounts were linked and the restaurant was registered in travel guides, local directories and on Google my business. |
