What Inspired this sitE?When I learn something, I get excited and want to share it or teach it to someone else. This probably explains why I became a teacher. My professional career is not exactly that fantastic story that one might hear when accomplished career developers and motivational speakers chronicle how they have made it from a boring job to a successful blogging and online capacity building or consultancy, for example. On the contrary, my story is that of one who says, "walk with me on this journey and step by step we will experience the joys of building mountains out of mole-hills.
I have experienced how sometimes I have felt left behind when I read testimonials from experts who have "made it."
I do not consider myself an "expert" and I have no intention of re-inventing what others have so expertly done, but I will gladly recommend and share any tools, resources and information that I have come across or used. So what is my strategy?I am a person who enjoys reading and sharing useful material that come my way. I have learnt to appreciate and acknowledge such material . I apply it to my life and share the outcomes with you here. I google a lot of things beginning with the phrase “how to…” and read a lot of publications that end with the words “…for Dummies”. I celebrate the possibilities of the digital age and the improved access to knowledge and information across many fields. I do not exactly have a long grey beard of wisdom stretching down to my knees, but my career life has been a journey of lessons and experience that will undoubtedly inspire someone else and come to good use. While I do not attest to being an “expert”, I do have a personal interest in the areas of language teaching/learning as well as media and communication for development. That interest led me to attain two master’s degrees, one in Education and the other in Communication for Development. To know more about my education and studies, click on the botton below.
